The Structure Of Internal Hämorrhoiden
Hemorrhoids are a simple yet disastrous condition that afflicts at least 2 out of 10 people in this world and is also known as piles by some communities. However, there is a difference between piles and hemorrhoids that has got to do with the pathology of the disease. While hämorrhoiden occurs with the blockage of the visceral vein, piles happens because of the irritation of the tissues near the anus.
Internal hemorrhoids are simple outgrowths of the anal tissues that grow in the form of tiny grapes and obstruct the anal opening because of which they get irritated during defecation. It is this irritation and the continuing growth that creates the pain and discomfort. If left untreated, internal hemorrhoids that are called stage one can progress into the prolapsed phase or stage two which is also called external hemorrhoids. That is the stage where the tissue connecting the internal hemorrhoids disconnects from the wall of the anus and falls out.
